Is Olmesartan Medoxomil Same As Benicar?

I have been taking Benicar for a many years. When I went to get me refill the pharmacy gave me this drug Olmesartan Medoxomil. When I asked them what not Benicar, they told me it s generic. I have never taken this new drug before. Is it the same and no side effect?

yes both are same. u need not worry sir. but please check the strength of the tablets. that is dose of tablet. both belongs to same group of antihypertensives.
