Is Nupenta Tablet The Right Medication For Breathing Difficulty And Asthma?

I have asthma. Last month I visited India and moved a lot from one aria to another: from very hot weather to a cooler one etc. I had a difficulty in breathing and saw a doctor in a hospital in Manali. I was given Nupenta tablets to take before breakfast and other tablets I recognized as using when I have an attack (Prednisone ). What was the Nupenta 40 mg for? Thank you very much, Hadassah from Israel

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, the nupenta was given to decrease acid reflux in stomach which can be triggered by prednisolone that was given for asthma attack. You may need long term monteleukast sodium as well as inhalatory steroid and bronchodilators therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
