General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Novamox contains amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic frequently given in infants for a lung infection, throat or ear infections. So, it is safe for your child to take it.

As for other investigations needed to evaluate him, the doctor would have ordered them if he found it necessary based on the findings in the physical examination. So, I very likely there was no need for investigations. On the other hand, your child is having an antibiotic that would take care of a lung infection if it is present.

I hope I have answered your query and have been helpful to you.

I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
