Is Norethisterone The Right Medicine For Infertility?
hi i am a Dr ,GP trainee from this august.I will be undergoing ICSI /Infertility treatment in abroad in 2 months.I want to take Norethisterone for a week so that i can regulate my cycle and be present on time there. My query is delaying periods with progesterone will it affect my cycle in future.Curently my Men cycle is regular 28days.
Norethisterone is not the actual medicine to cure infertility, but it is best remedy to regulate cycle timings. The transient period alteration and hormone axis control is for that particular period only and that will not reflect to next cycle. I would recommend that you should not self consume Norethisterone without medical prescription of guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
