Is Mucolyte Syrup Advisable For Dry Cough?

Mucolyte 100ml syrup (Bronchial Mucolytic) is it for wet mucus type coughs or dry coughs. I have a mucus cough and I need something to relive it I also been taking Adol 250ml x15ml every four hours or when I really need it to reduce a slight fever. But I really need something to easy my breathing which is a little short due to the cough which I have had for a few days. I am also in the end of the second week for chemo therapy. (please don t tell me to go too hospital)

Hello,

Mucolte syrup is not for dry cough. If you are having mucus or wet type of cough, you can use Mucolyte syrup. You seem to be having fever too. So just make sure you don't have any infection as you are under chemotherapy and are more prone to infections.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
