It is to be used on face with caution following the exact duration of course and method as prescribed by the doctor. You have not mentioned why doctor prescribed you this medicine. If it is to reduce dark spots then as effective as it may seem in reducing dark spots...one has to weigh the pros and cons of using it in each particular case which can be better done by a consulting dermatologist.
