Is Methylprednisolone Given For Nausea And Tinnitus?

I was given methylprednisolone 4 mg dose pack. Since imstarted it lunchtime, I took the recommended 3 tabs (12 mg) and was to take the remaining 3 tabs at bedtime. I was then to follow the remaining dosing according to the package. I have a horrible headache nausea and tinnitus from this. I was given this med after having a rash that progressed to cellulitis. I am on antibiotics and the cellulitis is mostly resolved. Since I only took 12 mg can I just stop this medication without any problems? I don t think I can tolerate these side effects for the remainder of the dosing package.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the side effects are intolerable then you would have to consider not using the remaining doses but you should inform your doctor so he or she is aware of what you experienced.

Since the symptoms are improving then you may not need it at this point.

I hope this helps
