Is Medrol Injection Once In A Month Safe?

hi I have been looking for the last 5 years some thing that can give me quality of life, by accident my doctor gave me a shot to see if it would relief my pain the injection he gave me was depot Medrol 80 mg . after getting the shot I felt great for 4 to 5 weeks by week 6 I was a mess again I went back to him and told him how great I felt and how I started eating more and sleeping better now I get the shot every 5 to 6 weeks do you think this is harmful I get yearly checkups and everything else is working great

Hi,

No for long time it is not safe. You can take injection Medrol as short course therapy. If you take for long time, it will cause decrease immunity, weak bones, recurrent infection. So along with that continue physiotherapy for early recovery. Don't stop abruptly.
