Hi. I was diagnosed with TB 3 years ago and have completed the treatment and im already clear of TB. I went abroad and was rejected due to my old TB scar. I want to ask if there is anyway to remove the scar. They say that a russian medicine, Longidaze is effective. Is it true?

Hello,

It has been known that the microbe that causes TB, Mycobacterium tuberculosis can persist in the lungs even after patient tissue samples test negative for the bacteria. After six months of treatment, PET/CT scans of 76 of the 99 patients showed lung lesions similar to those seen in untreated pulmonary TB patients.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
