General & Family Physician 's  Response
Lomela contains hydroquinone (2.0%), tretinoin (0.025%) and mometasone (0.1%). When applied topically, there are chances of getting absorbed in blood. There is evidence that these components are secreted in breast milk. These components of Lomela are contraindicated in breastfeeding baby. Mometasone causes growth retardation in baby. So it is better to avoid Lomela until you are breastfeeding your baby. When you stop breastfeeding, you can apply Lomela in your neck at bed time for 3 months.
Thanks
