Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query. Levorid is an antihistamine and helps to relieve symptoms of cold and allergy. It is safe in children above 2 years of age. Your child of 9 years can take this medicine if his kidney functions are normal, as it is contra indicated in children below 12 years if there is any kidney function impairment. However the usual dose advised for children from 6 years to 11 years is 2.5 mg per day. You should confirm the higher than recommended dose with the doctor before you give it your child.
