Is Levonelle Effective In Preventing Pregnancy?

Hello. I had sex 27th january at around 10pm and took the lovenelle? morning after pill an hour later. I recently checked my ovulation calender and i was highly likely to be ovulating that day. Will the pill still work? I know its not 100% but would it work?

Yes levonelle is effective in preventring pregnancy especially if taken within 24 hours of having sex. Actually levonelle is an emergency contraceptive pill which works by inhibiting implantation of fertilized egg on the uterus. It has high success rate of over 95% if taken within 24 hours of having sex.
Therefore chances of pregnancy are very less in you even if you were ovulating on those days. As you took the pill one hour later of having sex, You should now relax as pregnancy possibility is very less. You might have your next period delayed due to intake of levonelle pill.
Don't take levonelle or any morning after pill frequently. These pills are intended to use in case 0f emergency & have higher side effects than other regular methods of contraception such as regular birth control pill, condom etc.
