Is Levofloxacin A Safe Medicine For Treatment Of Sinusitis?

Lots of sinus infections, flu, etc going around right now. I got very sick and went to urgent care, they diagnosed me with acute sinus infection. put me on ammoxicilin. After 6 days had to go back and they told me that I also had developed broncitis. Dr put me on levofloxacin500mg. After reading side effects and what can happen to tendons, nerve conditions, etc. I was afraid to take it. The risks are great. IS THIS A GOOD MEDICINE AND WHY DOES THIS MEDICINE HAVE BAD AND SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS.

Levofloxacin a fluoroquinolone with broad spectrum antibacterial spectrum, is very safe drug. In most persons the drug is very well tolerated. There are hardly any serious problems noticed in routine usage. Plus taking levofloxacin for a few days will hardly cause any problems at all.
If you look at most of the antibiotics or antibacterial drugs the list side effects is pretty long, as the rules state that all possible things should be mentioned. That does not mean every one is affected by those things. So if your doctor has prescribed the medication, take it without any worry. It should not be taken if one is allergic. Thanks.
