Is Levaquin Advisable For Sinus Infection?

I take amioderone on a regular basis for A- fib and A-flutter. Yesterday a NP prescribed Levaquin for a sinus infection. I am not willing to take this and going to call for another medication per web information. Will this Levaquin cause possible arrhythmia! Am very concerned! Just got off from a heart monitor. Hi! I hade gone through your question and I understand your concern !

I would say that using these drug together amiodaron with levofloxacine can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious.When you use them together be aware if you feel sudden dizziness , ligjtheadedness, fainting or pounding heartbeats Call the doctor.

Cause of that risk these drug are not recommended to take together.
If I were you treating doctor I would prescribe Amoxicillin /clavulanat 250 mg every 8 hours or 500 mg every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days ..
Ask an appointment with your local doctor he can change the medication.
