Is Ibuprofen 200mg Advisable To Be Taken Along With Naproxen 500mg?
Hi I took naproxen 500mg for back pain the naproxen wasn t helping at all . So then I took ibuprofen 200mg probably like 2 or 3 hours later and I did this for like a day and half until my ears started lighting ringing then that s when I did my research and realized you were not suppose to take the two together. Will I be ok ????
You should be fine, these medications can cause tinnitus (abnormal sounds in the ear) but since you only took them for a short period of time , the effects should be temporary.
If it continues then other causes for the tinnitus would need to be found.
Some of the other causes of tinnitus are : infection, excess ear wax, trauma to the ear, related to hearing loss, meniere's disease. You would need to be assessed by your doctor or ENT specialist.
I hope this helps
