Is Hydroxyzine Pamoate Effective In The Treatment Of Severe Leg Ache?

Hello... I have a question regarding Hydroxyzine Pamoate 25mg. I was prescribed this medication several weeks ago as a supplement to the oxycodone prescribed following knee surgery. That was approximately 5 weeks ago. Following the knee surgery, my opposite foot became quite sore. Doctor said I had potential stress fractures... AGAIN! I say again, because the same thing happened 9m years to the foot. I have high arches and over time (apparently) my bones want to fracture on that foot. Anyway, I wanted to know if the Hydroxyzine Pamoate used alone (as I have not needed the oxycodone for weeks) would be ok to take to relieve any pain I have associated with the foot issue. I know it relaxes a person but is there any pain relief associated with the medication?

I am sorry but Hydroxyzine doesn't offer any analgesic effect, doesn't alleviate pain. It may happen a little indirectly by relieving anxiety, but it has no analgesic effect of his own.

I would consider taking and over the counter painkiller like Ibuprofen, although it would be good to know some more info regarding your age and other conditions before taking that medication.
