Is Hydrochlorothiazide The Cause For Rise In Blood Pressure Level?

what is the difference between Bisoprl/HCTZ 10/6.25 and Bisoprolol Fumarate 10 mg with a water pill added separate which is Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg? I was on the Bisoprl/hctz and my doctor changed it to the fumarate with the separate water bill and my blood pressure seems to be going up not down. Could it be from the 25mg water pill?

Hi,

Hydrochlorothiazide does not cause elevated blood pressure, in fact it is a drug used to treat hypertension. It is a diuretic group drug and is widely used for the treatment of hypertension. Consult your physician and make necessary adjustments to make your blood pressure under control.

Hope I have answered your query.
