Is HRT Responsible For Back To Back Menses?
53 yo starting hRT E plus P continous patch and 5.2 cm fibroids causes back to back menses. Is this possible after a couple of weeks starting HRT for the first time or is it more likely the HRT. Fibroid discovered on pelvic ultrasound due to investing abnormal bleeding. Estrogen bloods very low indicating post menapause prior to hrt start. Thank you. Lynn

It is very much obvious that the severe hormone imbalance in both the way endogenous and exogenous causes the menstrual bleeding.
I would advise to at least stop taking the HRT unless it is being balance the endogenous hormone level, else the condition would be more jeopardize.
Ideally if you do not have any severe symptoms of menopause, then no need to have the HRT.
