Is HIV Or Hepatitis Infection Be Transmitted Through Toilet Paper?

Hi,

I'm a little worried and stressed out. I went to a public toilet and as I was about to get tissue paper I saw that there was none on the dispenser and some on the ground. It was dry so I used it but I regret it so much because I keep thinking that I could have gotten an STI (even though I'm a virgin) HIV or Hepatitis?

Is this possible?

Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you with thanks for a consult!

I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns according to the latest medical guidelines.

HIV or Hepatitis doesn't spread like that. But still you have to be careful all the time as you never know if some paper towel had the seminal or vaginal secretions on it and you rub that to the wet vagina or the anus, it may transmit some of the STDs.

For viral hepatitis (a blood borne disease) it is necessary to come in direct blood contact. That is less likely to spread like this though.

Hello Welcome to healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query & appreciate your concern

HIV or Hepatitis spreads by body fluids, using same syringe, sexual intercourse, etc. It cannot spread by sharing bathroom, toilet paper, towel etc. Even talking/ Living with a person whose has HIV or Hepatitis cannot cause you this infection.
Sexually transmitted diseases spread through sexual contact mainly & body fluids.

Don't worry you would be fine
Hoping your query is solved
