Is Fucidin Safe For Painful Swelling From A Burn On The Hand?

I got my hand burnt from motor silencer. I believe it s a second degree burnt, as it formed a blister and it too bursted accidentally exposing pink flesh. Or Atleast it looked so. I applied fresh aloe Vera. That pink flesh got yellowish next day. But it s lot more paining and have got swollen. I consulted a dermatologist and he suggested Fuicidin cream, and I was little skeptical since an year back the same cream was prescribed to me for marks on my face. So can you please suggest if I should use fucidin cream or something else.

Hi.
As per your case history of burns, my treatment advice is -
1. Fucidin cream contains fusiderm acid which is antibiotic and so can be used to burnt skin.
2. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
3. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
