Folitrax (methotrexate) is used in the treatment of psoriasis. It is used in low doses for the control of this condition. Regarding effectiveness, many patients with psoriasis are controlled on methotrexate alone. And is relatively safe at relatively at low doses, but highly impropriate to say completely safe.
I would recommend a regular follow-up and reporting of any severe symptoms to your consultant. Hope the above information helps you. Thank you very much for writing into healthcaremagic.
