Is Fluocinonide The Right Medicine For Bipolar Disorder?

My father was diagnosed with bipolar at age 70. The Dr said it was possible a round of prednisone could have triggered it. Do I need to be concerned with using topical steroids for this reason? I have not been diagnosed with bipolar but the Dr said that it was dormant in Dad and triggered by something. I have been prescribed fluocinonide and clobetasol propionate.
