Is Duphaston Effective In Avoiding Miscarriages?

i am 5-6 weeks pregnant & doctor asked me to take duphaston 10mg twice daily . she said it will help to prevent miscarriages . i am 34 yrs old and conceived after nearly 4 yrs also i do not have a history of miscarriages pls advise whether i should take it?

hi...it is good drug used to avoid miscarriage..but as you say you dont have miscarriage history..
so i dont think you should take it..
it is used in menses problems , hormon replacement therapy , repatative abortions...etc..
