Is Doxycycline Safe To Take While Breast Feeding?

After being at a water park in a hot humid country, I started having itching on my scalp. Since I am breast feeding, Doctor prescribed fusic acid 20mg betamethasone valerate 1mg tropical cream and an desloratadine 5mg tablets. No oral antibiotics for me. However the itching is so severe now and has spread to my arms back and legs cause sleepless nights. It s little reddish bumps but has no puss. Should I take doxycycline while breast feeding or is there another antibiotic that can be prescribed by a doc that is safer while feeding. Or should I wean my baby completely now so I could have real medication as she is almost 1 and nine months and I was slowly weaning her as in she is not fed in the morning but only at night. Please help
