Dr. one of close friends sun is found having blood plates only 20. He is 15 yrs old and After two days his plates raised to 40 and Dr. prescribed Diprofos injection and advised P.smear test. Can you please advise further and is he going in the wright way.

Many causes of the low platelets count are there. So ideal way is to do peripherals smear examination and then treat accordingly.if persistant low platelets are there then bone marrow examination may help to reach dignosis.right now you are ob right tract. Go for peripheral smear examination.
