Is Deriphyllin Advisable For Shortness Of Breath?

I suffer from seasonal shortness of breath mainly during the rainy season. Breathing through mouth or yawning at intervals gives me relief at time of attack. I feel very uncomfortable and hungry for air. Should l take deriphyllin or montair lc.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you will need review by your primary care physician and get your saturation checked as asthma exacerbation is most likely in your scenario. Using Monteleukast for one to two months along with inhalers of steroids and Salbutamol may be required. Montair preferred as OTC over Deriphylillin, but without inhalers may not be as effective.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
