Is Cytotec Advisable For Uterine Blood Clots During Postpartum?
I delivered my baby 2 weeks ago and went to my gynae for a follow-up. She found some bloodclot in my uterus via ultrasound and prescribed cytotec to get rid of the remaining blood. I can t find information online of cytotec being used for this purpose. I ve only taken my first dose (2 x 200 mcg) and have been having severe spasms and diarrhoea. I m worried it will affect my baby as he is fully breastfed. Should I continue taking the medication?
Greetings regarding your blood clot in your uterus yes your gynecologist is in order to prescribe cytotec what this drug does is to cause contraction of the uterus to empty what is inside it will not affect your breastfeeding baby
