Is Cremaffin Syrup For Constipation And Gas Safe For Lactating Mothers?

Can I take white Cremaffin syrup while feeding newborn. My baby is one week only and I am suffering from acute constipation and gas after my normal delivery. Is it safe for lactating mothers? My baby already has loose stools after phototherapy for jaundice .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The cremaffin syrup can be used to treat constipation during lactation.

I also suggest eating plenty of fruits and vegetables to help constipation.

Drinking plenty of water and fluids also helps.

I also recommend increasing physical activity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
