Is Clonazepam Advisable Over Ativan?

I take 2 mg of Ativan daily for severe anxiety and want to know the different benefits if I switch to clonazapam. Which is stronger, which last more hours and could one work better to where I could take less if one lasts more hours between doses. I think my Ativan may have stopped working as well as it use to for one thing the time I ve been on it and the other thing do to my anxiety becoming worse do to new symptoms I didn t suffer from previously and maybe switching can knockout the new symptoms since I may have adapted to my current ativan and the dose and rather than taking more of the Ativan maybe I can switch and start on less of the clonazapam untilvi need more if I do.

At the onset please do understand that the management of severe anxiety is not medication alone. Physical exercise, meditation, good sleep, working in a peaceful surroundings help a lot in reducing anxiety. You must deeply investigate into the cause of your anxiety, and once that is found, you can try and remove this problem from your mind. Please know that anxiety is in your mind, not in a situation. It is how you relate to a situation that your mind gets worked up and you feel anxious. Regarding medication, it is best that you consult a Psychiatrist, who after carrying out necessary investigations, and ruling out any organic ailment, can prescribe the appropriate medication. You will also require counseling by a Psychologist.
