Hello.
Thankyou for contacting HCM.
i wouldn't recommend clobetamil G for the treatment of your acne and scars. It contains
clobetasol propionate and
gentamicin ( corticosteriod and antifungal) which is not to be used as a long term treatment.....and as effective as it may seem in reducing acne...one has to weigh the pros and cons of using it in each particular case which can be better done by a consulting
dermatologist.
Furthermore, there is a definite risk of side effects to the breastfed infants. However, use of the drug in
breastfeeding women is acceptable in spite of the risk to the infants, if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective.
TREATMENT:
Clindamycin phosphate gels/creams applied locally on acne twice daily.
VitaminA creams only to be applied in a very little amount only at the acne at bedtime.
Daily application of a sunscreen .
face wash/ soaps formulated against acne to be used.
if your case is of a
severe acne you may be prescribed
Vitamin A capsules.....but they too have to be monitored by a dermatologist.....esp. now that you are breastfeeding
for scar marks vitamin c creams are beneficial.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
