Is Cital Syrup With Ofloxacin Safe To Treat Anxiety Disorder For 49-year-olds?

sir i was recently diagnosed by a urologist for Grade I prostatomegely...i am ok as now. since two days i was feeling burning sensation is the penis which is causing a little anxiety and disturbance....i am taking cital syrup with ofloxacin 200 tablets....is it going to help me... what precautions i must take ...im 49 years old male ...kindly suggest.

Hi,

Based on the history you seem to be suffering from lower urinary tract infection for which you have been prescribed cital syrup and oflaxacin. Let me clarify that cital syrup and oflaxcin are not used for anxiety disorder. Cital Syrup is used for the treatment and prevention urinary infection and burning micturition.

Oflaxacin is an antibiotic commonly prescribed to treat urinary infection caused by susceptible bacteria. Yes, this combination is found to be effective to eradicate the infection. However, when taken together citral syrup can change the acidity of your urine, which may cause ofloxacin to crystallize and form stones. So, you must drink plenty of fluids during the course of treatment with oflaxacin.
