Is Chiari Infection Related With Pressure In Ears?

I have been diagnosed with chiari malformation type 1 with a 9m herniation. Have a lot of pressure in ear, fullness in head and dizziness. Sometimes my head feels very spacey. Taking serc 24mg. Are these symptoms related to chiari or could it be something else

Yes, there is possibility of feeling pressure in the ears in chiari - 1 malformation.

Type I Chiari malformation usually causes no symptoms. Most people with the condition don't even know that they have it unless it is incidentally discovered during a diagnostic imaging test.

But if the malformation is severe, type I may cause symptoms such as:

Pain in the lower back of the head into the neck; it usually develops quickly and intensifies with any activity that increases pressure in the brain, such as coughing and sneezing, dizziness and ear problems with balance and coordination, swallowing difficulties, sleep apnea. Consult neurologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
