Is Chantix Safe To Be Taken For Seizure Disorder?

HI,HAVE A QUESTION. ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO I HAD MY LAST SEIZURE, USED TO HAVE A SEIZURE DISORDER. MY DR. PRESCRIBED ME CHANTIX, DID NOT FILL IT YET. MY WIFE SAID I SHOULD NOT TAKE IT. I REALLY WANT TO QUIT SMOKING, CAN YOU TELL ME IF IT IS SAFE TO TAKE CHANTIX?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!! THANKS A MILLION, JEFF COSTIGAN.

I agree with your wife. That question can only be answered by a neurologist who has examined you, obtained the proper tests to VERIFY that your brain is actually free of any seizure activity which still can be present even if no seizures are manifest, and then, explained the risks & benefits of the drug you wish to take. There are many other ways to stop smoking that are quite successful which you could implement until you've seen the doctor and gotten the clearance.
