Is Calpsor Effective In Treatment Of Scalp Psoriasis?
I have scalp psoriasis and a small patch on my thigh as well . Doctor gave me a steroid earlier halop- s . till the time I applied it my scalp was fine but the moment I stopped using it the red and white patches on scalp flared....Now my doc has given Calpsor in place of the steroid. Please tell me how effective this drug is and is it dangerous in any way. also what else to do to treat psoriasis

Hi. Calpsor is very safe, but its not very effective alone. I suggest you to add tar based shampoo. Its a good adjunct in controlling scalp psoriasis. Once psoriasis is controlled, you can continue using tar shampoo as maintenance therapy. Some of the tar shampoo available in market are Ionax-T from Galderma and Protar lotion from Percos.
