Is Benadryl The Right Medicine For Chronic Headache And Migraine?

Yes, I have a chronic head pain condition and right now I have migraine pain on top of my usual pain. U Normally IM Benadryl helps but I am on vacation and there isn t a close urgent care center or anything . I was wondering how many mg of Benadryl taken orally would have the same effect and be safe enough as if I had a shot.

No, benadryl is not a drug for migraine.
Benadryl is having antihistamine drug. It is nothing to do with migraine.
Migraine needs painkiller like ibuprofen for urgent treatment. For chronic treatment of migraine, combination of Propranolol and flunarizine is advisable.
Along with these drugs, you should avoid stress and tension. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Take sound sleep of 6-8 hours. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep your self hydrated.
Don't take benadryl, this won't help you.
