Hello,

Having a fever for one month is very unusual. The most common respiratory tract infections may last for a few days. Sometimes young children may catch one cold after another and may seem to be ill for too long, but they're really getting consequent different infections.

Augmentin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and will be sufficient for a multitude of pathogens. Some pathogens are not sensitive to it though and other treatment options may have to be considered. This is up to your doctor... Your doctor will evaluate her condition and suggest the most appropriate treatment every time.

Augmentin is generally safe but it does have a long list of potential side effects. Most patients won't experience any side effects; few will. Wheezing will probably improve with the nebulized drug. If she's not improving, you should ask her doctor to see her again.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
