Is Advil Right Medication For Sore Chest Cavity And Shortness Of Breath With BP Being 152/92?

I just turned 57 this month and have been in good health. In previous years my BP averaged 120/80. I went to the doctor this morning and my BP was 152/92. My left chest cavity is very sore and I was having some shortness of breath. He said it was due to snow skiing earlier this week and to take Advil. The doctor didn t mention anything about my BP. Should I be concerned?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should immediately consult cardiologist and get done
1. Ecg
2. 2d echo
3. Stress test.
To rule out cardiac cause.
Because your blood pressure is high and your chest pain and mild shortness of breath can be due to cardiac cause.
It is definitely not due to skiing.
So consult cardiologist and discuss all these.
