Is ACL Arthroscopic Surgery Advisable For A Completely Ruptured ACL?

I m 30 year old, met with an accident and got injured in left knee,15 days back, in mri report, bucket handle tear in medial meniscus with grade 1 strain, same in lateral meniscus , and complete rupture of ACL in femoral half. Gradual reduction in pain while walking, going dowstairs, or doing exercise prescribed by doctor and now going office too. Do i need ACL arthroscopic surgery?? Or only clinical treatment and physiotherapy will make my leg back in its original condition.??? Please guide me sir??

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Arthroscopic repair is the treatment of choice. As the tear is complete, physiotherapy alone may not work. Consult an orthopedic surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
