Is 500 Mg Of Cipro A Safe Dosage?

Hello, My son was given Cipro for a sinus infection. The dose was 500 mg twice a day for 10 days. Does this seem like a reasonable dose for his condition? I am asking because at day 7 he took his own life without warning. Thank you for clarifying the dose. Sally D in Vermont

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic. Thank you for the query.
Yes, this is safe and this actually standard dosage for most infection which are treated with cipro so you should not be worried. It has certain side effects which are rare and usually not significant but it has nothing to do with dosage.
Wish you good health. Regards
