Is 5 Days Of Fever A Cause Of Concern?

I have fever for 5 days, my blood and urine report is fine. My CPR is 11.8. The blood culture result will be out in 3 days. My fever was 101 for three days. Now it s 99.4 and it comes and goes . What could I possibly have? I also have developed seasonal cough, but don t think they r related.

5 Days of continues high fever should be alarming if it dose not decrease,I would think it is a viral infection and in the 6th day it should be decreasing and you should be fine but if it dose not decease then a bacterial infection could have taken place and you might need a course of antibiotics to treat the bacterial infection,But for the viral infection i would treat the symptoms only like fever with aspirin ,symptoms also can be decreased with anti hisatmin.
