Is 4th Sinus Surgery Really Required?

I had 3 sinus surgeries and had been adsived for the forth one. for now almost a year had no headaches, have been in gluten free diet for 4 months, stopped steroid predisone, have been using hidrogen peroxide to clean and last 2 months castor oil! doctors do not the cause, they only advise surgery, had been spray nasonex prescribed by general dr, I am waiting to see ent at jackson memorial! but not sure a bout another surgery

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

If you do have headache you need surgery but if you do not have headache you do not have to take the surgery in an emergency basis. However if there are polyps or other lesions in the sinus then surgery is recommended. In any case you can get a CT PNS and get back to me or any ENT so that I can help you out better.
