Intermittent Flashing Light In Left Eye, Occasional Lightheaded Feeling, Mild Headache, Stiff Neck. On Ramipril. Advise?

I have intermittent flashing light in my left eye. Always in the same spot. Spot is always the same shape (like an upside down checkmark and it is light green.) sometimes I feel light headed but this does not occur at the same time as the flashers. Sometimes , recently, I have had a mild, dull headache on the top and back of my head. I am a 71 year old male, in good health. I am taking ramipril 10mg for blood pressure. I also experience significant stiffness in my neck. Rolling my head causes pain in my neck.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
After going through history, you are having Hypertension and taking treatment ramipril, I presume that your blood pressure is well controlled with it.
Flashes in light could occur due to retinal detachment, posterior vitreous detachment, trauma to head, also migraine.
you should visit an ophthalmologist to get your eye check up including fundus examination.
Your neck pain may be due to cervical spondylosis and should be confirmed by x ray spine and MRI of spine and treatment accordingly.
Treatment depends on cause.
Take care.
Good luck.
