Insect Bite On Back, Hasn't Healed, Turned Into Rash, Redness, Itchy. Done Ultrasound. What Must Be Done?
Hello,
It started as an insect bite on my bottom back in June and since then it hasn't healed properly. Recently I came to the US from the UK on holiday and in the last 3 days it's now turned into a rash that runs all the way in between my bum checks where the crack is. It's become pusty and red and very itchy... I have been using alcohol to clean the pusty area but after a while it will get pusty again. Please advise what I can use to heal the area, I feel the problem is it cannot dry up as it's in between the bum checks.
Hi, It seems that due to site there is always perspiration on that area causing wetness on the part giving rise to irritation and itching. This may not allow proper healing of scratch marks. Keep that part dry and clean. Apply antibiotic cream locally after proper cleaning. If there is some infection, go for one short course of antibiotic medicine. Take antihistamine like Cetrizine for itching for few days. Ok and take care.
