Inflamed Plica Fimbriata. Treatment? Healing Period?

Hello, Dr. I've looked at an expert answer regarding inflamed plica fimbriata. A few days ago, but It didn't clearly answer my 2 queries...

just my right plica fim has become fairly red and annoying , I've heard that there's no cause for concern but
- WHAT should I do to treat it (if anything) and
- HOW long would this typically take to return to normal? :)

Yours Faithfully

Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM
You have inflamed plica fimbriata.
Some points regarding to this region
1. More vulnerable to physical injury due to the fragility of the plica,
2.Healing of this area is good, because more vascular.
3.Infection more common.
So i suggest you that after every meal , use mouth was such as hexidine. and proper course of antibiotic and antiinflammatory drugs. You may ok within 7 days.

Thanks
