Infected With West Nile Meningitis. Cyst In Brain, No Longer Have Centre Ridge. Done MRI. What Steps To Be Taken?

last august, I was infected with west nile meningitis and enciphilited. an mri showed that the left slide of my brain is covered in a cycst and I no longer have that center ridge on my brain because of all the pressure put on my brain. some doctors say the cyst is something I was born with and shouldn't be the problem. other doctors say the was nile meningities and enciphilities should no longer effect me. I have no clear answers and any clear thing to hope for. losing faith and the pain is taking over. I don't know what steps I should take.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

It is important to know the complete MRI report details before coming in to a differential diagnosis to your problem.
Whatever it is, a big cyst that is causing shift of midline structures inside the head of more than 4 mm must be treated so that pressure does not build up.
Increased intracranial pressure can affect the functioning of your brain and can become serious.
Please discuss your condition with your scan reports and consult a neurosurgeon immediately.

Hope this helps.
