Infant Having Extreme Dry, Rough Patches On Outer Side Of Both Elbows Right From The Birth, Liquid Comes Out, Look Like Big Wounds.

My 10 month old daughter has Extreme dry and rough patches on outer side of both elbows right from the birth. But now as she crawls, and scratches these patches a lot, a liquid comes out and they look like Big wounds. What should be done so that these patches should go away and skin becomes normal? Thanks for your help.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

You should contact a dermatologist or a pediatrician once. The basic problem should be identified and treated. Your doctor may prescribe aloe vera containing moisturizing creams. Usage of soft carpets may help in the meanwhile.

Continue to ask further queries.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
