Infant Has Green, Watery Stool With Mucus. Stool Positive For Reducing Sugar. Advice?
hi dr my breastfed 3 months baby is suffering from green mucusy watery stool for 3 weeks now test for reducing sugar in stool is positive rota and adeno viruses are negative i stopped milk and all dairy products and any product that contain milk from my diet for 10 days now but his symptoms still the same so any advise

Though you have mentioned that your son has green mucusy watery stool for 3 weeks you have not mentioned the frequency and whether he is passing urine adequately. It would have been better if you had shared the detailed stool report for me to know about the pus cells, etc. I will not worry about the reducing sugar in the stool which becomes very common during frequency of motion. If your son is well hydrated and not loosing weight then I will overlook the passage of 4-5 motions in 24 hours. I would like to add some probiotics to recondition his intestines.
