Dear user,

I trust that the doctor has already explained to you that Budecort is to be used every day, while Asthalin is a use-as-needed inhalation to be given only when he actually has breathing difficulty. It should be stopped once the acute phase is over. Budecort is a second line preventive drug which is recommended in such a small baby only after a failed trial of an oral medicine called montelukast. Has your son already had a trial of this medicine? If not, please speak to your doctor about this.

His weight seems okay for his age (if you are from India, it is fine, and you need not worry.)
