I was recently prescribed a high dose of vitamin D 20,000 1 tablet per month. I suffer from oestoporosis, hence the vitamin D. Once a year I have an alondrenate infusion, so I need plenty of calcium for the drug to be effective.
I also suffer from degenerative disc disease and arthritis.
Recently my bone pain has increased, I take 300mg pregablin daily and have a bu trans 20 microgames release per hour.
My GP recently did a blood test for rheumatoid arthritis, which was negative. What was found from the blood sample was hypercalcaemia. My GP has stopped my vitamin D tabs. Further bloods have been done for Bence Jones Protein, bone profile, protein electrophoresis.
I am awaiting these results, but I don't feel well at all. Headache, constipation and confusion. Dry mouth and loss of appetite. Could you please advise
