I injured my big toe years ago when a heavy cart ran over it. There was a great deal of discharge coming from under the injured nail weeks after the injury. At that time I cut the nail short enough for it to drain. However, years later the nail grows with a black thread like line under the nail. It is directly under the nail and can be cut when clipping my nails. What is this?
